Basilico Food

We went to Basilico in search of vegan food and we were successful in finding it. For breakfast we ate the Piadine NR. 5 with Hummus and grilled vegetables and NR. 6 with potatoes, fried onions and Kurkuma almond mayo. It was sooooooooooo yummy <3 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We took the Buddha bowls for our train ride to Germany for 11 € each, also delicious and nourishing, it has all the goods. The owners are really friendly, food comes up quick and the prices are good. Coffee with almond milk is 1,90€, in comparison to German prices mind-blowing, but it seems for Italians coffe is a staple food and I agree it should be. Thank you for the great food :) If I ever visit Bologna again, I will definitely come back.

Right next to the B&B I was living at, Basilico's delicacies made it difficult for me to want to go elsewhere! Their menu changes daily, the smoothies/juices are especially excellent, freshly squeezed, pulpy and healthy! The vegan preparations aren't just tasty, but have a good mix of nutrients. The burger with spinach patties I really liked - simple, flavorful, and good for the body. Finally, you can choose to sit inside (nice ambience) or be with nature, outside, sitting in the shade of trees gently blowing in the wind. On one of my days there we also had a little guest from there! ;) All in all, highly recommended for any vegan/vegetarian. P.S. The staff is incredibly friendly, and try to tell you everything in English! Icing on the cake. :D

This gem is located on a very busy street, but its front porch makes it a little more sheltered from the chaos of the road. It offers mainly vegan and vegetarian dishes, in different combinations. There are two menu options that change every day. I‘m vegan and I often come here with colleagues on lunch break from the hospital, always to find delicious and savory recipes cooked with seasonal ingredients. I don‘t really know how it‘s like on rush hour but I‘ve never had to wait long for my food. The setup is nothing fancy, designed for lunch/dinner break, but the food really makes it worth it. It also offers many breakfast and brunch options. Strongly recommended for any veggie foodies in the area

Excellent and kind staff, everything home made. I ate a delicious light gluten free (senza glutine) and vegan cake with almond milk and coffee. There are lots of bio, vegan, vegetarian products for breakfast, brunch launch and dinner. The place is friendly, clean, green and cozy. They also have promos with discounts. A place like this should be in the city center!!!

I can really recommend Basilico Food to anyone looking for vegan, homemade and healthy food in Bologna. To try traditional food, I chose a dish with gnoccis in pea sauce, vegan polpette made with sugar snap peas, vegan mayo and vegetables. It was very tasty, especially the gnoccis were the best I have ever eaten in my life! The coffee was also very good. I liked too that the cafe is barrier-free. Unfortunately, there is no restroom. However, I will definitely return here when I am back in Bologna. Thank you very much for this!

Very nice vegan options; we had an avocado toast, croissant w jam and a piece of chocolate cake for breakfast. Cappuccino can be w soy or almond milk and my boyfriend's drink was freshly squeezed from chosen fruits. They even came to check whether he wanted ginger added or not, which is very nice, because he does nót like ginger :-D Friendly and fast service, no-nonsense good food for a good price.
